Pedal Clearance Issues Leads Ford to Recall Some 2013 Escapes

Ford Motor Co. issued a recall for its 2013 Escape SUVs due to issues with pedal clearance.
Improperly positioned carpet padding may interfere with the pedals in the SUVs, increasing stopping distances and risking collision, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). The recall affects 8,266 Escapes.
