Over a Million Toyotas Recalled Over Air Bags, Wipers
Toyota issued a recall for nearly 1.3 million vehicles worldwide over problems with air bags and windshield wipers. The Associated Press (AP) reports Toyota recalled over 752,000 Corolla and Corolla Matrix cars in the U.S and 141,000 cars in Canada—as well as cars in Japan and Mexico—manufactured between December 2001 and May 2004. The vehicles were recalled because a chip that controls the air bag may be damaged by the vehicle’s electronic signals, causing the bags to inflate unexpectedly.
