SOTKAMO SILVER APPOINTS ERKKI KURONEN AS CHIEF GEOLOGIST
Erkki Kuronen will join Sotkamo Silver from October 1st.
Erkki brings a strong track record and long experience of successful exploration and implementation of mining projects, from discovery to development and project management plus managing a full-scale mining operations.
Erkki will take over the responsibilities of Sotkamo Silver`s mining assets and databases in Finland and Norway.
He has worked successfully for more than 20 years with exploration, deposit modelling, mine planning and mine production. He has good skills and experience in managing geological databases and mine planning programs, which is necessary when managing a mine production.
Erkki Kuronen is currently Group Geologist & Mining Manager at Mondo Minerals. Mondo Minerals have 4 active mines in Finland with a yearly production of 1 Million tons talc-nickel ore.
He has a Master of Sciences degree in geology and mineralogy from Oulu University. He has experience for more than 20 years from mining projects and international mining companies. Erkki is a member of Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy’n (AusIMM) and has”Competent Person” status.
