TESTMINING FOR THE PILOT-PLANT TEST SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETED
239 tonnes ore from the underground tunnel at Taivaljarvi Silver Mine have successfully been mined. A 12 meter long section along an existing 60 meter tunnel that goes through the ore-body, was chosen for the sampling.
The ore was taken from the -150 meter level and hauled to the surface. 117 tonnes ore-sample has been delivered to the Geological Survey of Finland's Mineral Processing Laboratory in Outokumpu. This ore sample will be used in the pilot-plant test, The test-period begins on the 15th of August and will be finished in the middle of September. The Purpose of the test is to optimize the processing of the ore and to find out the most suitable parameters for the processing plant, which will be constructed in Taivaljärvi. Results of the test will be completed early October. The Pilot-plant test will be one of the key components in the Feasibility Study, which will be completed towards the end of the year.
