Ammonia based refrigeration solutions specialist Azane has just announced that it will be showcasing its natural R22 replacements Azanechiller and Azanefreezer at the upcoming IIAR 2016 expo in Orlando from March 20-23.

As the world’s largest meeting exclusively dedicated to industrial refrigeration, the event is a goldmine of information for the latest developments, innovations and trends happening within the sector. Parent company Star Refrigeration will be joining the team at Booth 321, on–hand to chat about the innovative new low charge air cooled ammonia technology.

Factory-built industrial ammonia refrigeration packages, Azanechiller and Azanefreezer, are both highly efficient and climate friendly. The designs use patented technology to minimise running costs over 25 years, and deliver the lowest possible cost of ownership. All use natural refrigerant ammonia and operate with as little as one-tenth of the charge of traditional refrigeration systems. This takes them off the radar of OSHA’s PSM and the EPA RPM.

Designed for use in a wide range of applications, the low charge technology is ideal for temperature controlled storage, process cooling, HVAC, ice rinks, data centres, food/drink manufacturing, pharmaceutical, petrochemical processes and more. Whatever the system, Azanechiller and Azanefreezer are a family of pre-engineered packages designed to augment efficiency, and minimise environmental impact. With R22 phase out progressing, and proposals in the pipework to restrict the use of HFC refrigerants, connecting with Azane is a great opportunity to learn more about low charge ammonia technology.

“The US R22 phaseout, along with proposed restrictions on some HFC refrigerants, is leading to a growing demand for natural refrigerant solutions such as the Azanechiller and Azanefreezer. 2016 is going to be a big year for Azane, with high profile installations already in the pipeline for customers across the USA. We anticipate that demand will continue to grow in the coming years and we are delighted to be helping lead the new Low Charge Ammonia industry,” says Caleb Nelson, Azane VP – Business Development.

Azane President and recently appointed Group MD of Star Refrigeration, ASHRAE Fellow Dr Andy Pearson, will be joined by Caleb Nelson, as well as a team of refrigeration experts and consultants from Star Technical Solutions. This includes IIAR Board of Directors member Mr David Blackhurst, who will step up to offer advice on the refrigerant phase out scheme, refrigerant and equipment replacement strategies, safe ammonia system design, and installation and other niche aspects.

As Star led Europe’s continent wide phase out of R22 refrigerant, Azane boasts unrivalled experience in low charge ammonia system design. During the event the team hopes to answer any questions or queries and help IIAR 2016 attendees realise the benefits of making the switch to future proof, environmentally conscious Azanechiller and Azanefreezer technology.
