John Travolta and wife Kelly Preston celebrate Cannes proposal

Travolta and Preston had a pleasant surprise when Oscar Generale got down on one knee to propose to actress and model Denny Mendez.

John Travolta and wife Kelly Preston were in Cannes to promote the upcoming family 3D animation movie, Gummy Bear, which is a Spice Factory release set to hit the box office in November next year.  Travolta and Preston had a pleasant surprise when one of the film’s producers “Italian Fashionista” Oscar Generale got down on one knee to propose to actress and model Denny Mendez.

Gummy Bear 3D features Gummy and his friends; a vegetarian vampire bat, a cat and a chameleon, who fight to save an alien world from destruction. The main roles are played by the Travolta family, with John Travolta starring as the voice of Gummy. Kelly Preston, Travolta’s wife (voicing the role of ‘cupcake’) and their 14 year-old daughter, Ella Blue Travolta (voicing the character ‘Kala’) are both featured in important roles in the movie.  

Generale proposed to Miss Mendez at the celebrity arrivals press line at the amfAR's 21st Cinema Against AIDS gala. With pals, John Travolta and his wife, Kelly Preston acting as wing men, the emotional proposal was captured by the media.

Generale is well known to all Hollywood A-listers, such as Julia Roberts, Demi Moore, Sharon Stone, Dustin Hoffman, George Clooney, Bruce Willis, and Al Pacino. Generale’s work includes production, product placement, advertising, public relations and events.

The line-up of other producers working on the film includes Jonathan Vanger and Michael Cowan of the UK’s Spice Factory.

Once finished in Cannes, John Travolta and his family moved onto Venice.
