Erie, Pa. — Erie, PA-based Eriez® has purchased a 114,000 square foot building in Erie, approximately 15 miles from its World Headquarters facility. According to the company, the expanded space will enable the company to build its largest, most cutting-edge and hottest selling recycling equipment in-house, rather than through sub-contractors.

“The demand for Eriez’ state-of-the-art recycling equipment has skyrocketed in recent years,” explains Tim Shuttleworth, Eriez President and CEO. “Our new building will help us streamline our manufacturing processes, which will result in quicker delivery for our customers.”

Shuttleworth explains that adding manufacturing space is crucial as Eriez continues to grow at a rapid pace. “Even during these tough times, Eriez is on an upward path, setting new records for orders and sales,” he says. “Sales of our recycling industry equipment are strong and steady, due in part to the considerable investment we’ve made in the past several years to new product development, personnel, our sales organization and aggressive marketing efforts.”

In addition to recycling equipment, the new building will also handle the manufacturing of Eriez’ Column Flotation Cells and Hydroflow® Fluid Filtration and Recycling Equipment as well as housing the company’s 5-Star Service® Center . According to Shuttleworth, Eriez plans to finish some renovations to the space and move operations in by the end of 2011.
