Stora Enso and Hannu Kasurinen, who has led the Building and Living Business Area for almost five years, have agreed that Kasurinen will leave his role as Business Area head once a successor has been appointed. In the meanwhile, he is fully committed to supporting the potential implementation of the plans announced today together with his management team.

“Hannu has brought the Building and Living Business Area to a new level of business focus, costs and speed. After almost five challenging years in his role, I have now agreed with Hannu that this is the time for a leadership change to develop the business further,” says Stora Enso CEO Jouko Karvinen.

“It’s been an exciting journey leading the Building and Living business through very challenging times and I am proud of my team, which has delivered real improvements in a tough operating environment. Now I will focus on planning and implementation of the new programme announced today before handing over to my successor and then seeking new challenges either within or outside Stora Enso,” says Hannu Kasurinen, EVP, head of the Building and Living Business Area.
