STORA ENSO OYJ STOCK EXCHANGE RELEASE 18 April 2011 at 18.15 EET

Stora Enso Oyj was informed on 18 April 2011 that the number of shares in the Company held by Norges Bank (The Central Bank of Norway) has decreased below 5% of the paid-up share capital and the number of shares in Stora Enso Oyj after a share lending transaction, where Norges Bank is the lender, on 15 April 2011.

With reference to Chapter 2, paragraph 10 of the Finnish Securities Markets Act, Stora Enso Oyj is reporting that as of 15 April 2011 the shareholding of Norges Bank is as follows:

The holding of Norges Bank has been calculated according to the share capital registered on 15 April 2011.
