Studybuddy UK has been live since 2nd March 2015 and the Swedish tuition concept proves to be greatly appreciated in London.

Studybuddy employs current university students from the UKs top universities as tutors that are matched with pupils based on subjects, interests and personality. The aim is to have the most satisfied customers in the UK tuition market by providing the pupil with a mentor and a role model, more than just a tutor.

Today’s UK tuition market mainly consists of tuition agencies, with self-employed tutors. Studybuddy is now changing the industry by carefully selecting, interviewing and employing each tutor.

Studybuddy has been operating in Sweden since 2004 and the first UK office was opened in London in November 2014. After several months of preparation, the tuition firm launched in early March and the services has already proven to be well received by the market according to Managing Director, Max Henrikson.

“The launch has been going better than expected and I’m very pleased to hear the feedback coming in from our first customers. I believe we give the customers something our competitors cannot. Having actual employees, we can provide continuity in the tuition and we can guarantee satisfaction since the customer deals with Studybuddy Ltd, rather than a self-employed tutor. In addition, we see the potential in a group of tutors that other tuition agencies have chosen to ignore. We solely hire current university students, as we are confident with their curriculum knowledge being up to date, as well as their outstanding ability to inspire their young pupils through passion and accessibility. All together, we differentiate hugely from our competitors and I believe the UK tuition market is ready for something fresh”.
