Grete Aspelund has been appointed new President of Sweco Norway, succeeding Tron Kjølhamar.

”Grete Aspelund has achieved solid results and has experience when it comes to leading businesses during fluctuating market conditions. With Grete, Sweco Norway is getting a strong leader who can develop the company in an increasingly global market,” says Tomas Carlsson, President and CEO at Sweco.

Grete Aspelund, currently CEO of Nemko AS, will take over as President of Sweco Norway on 1 January 2016. She has broad, top-level international executive experience, having served as President of Ramböll Management Norway in addition to holding senior executive positions at Nemko. She has extensive experience in organisational and management development from both the public and private sectors.

”I look forward to continue developing Sweco’s position on the Norwegian market. The company has highly skilled employees and holds a leading position in Norway, and is Europe’s largest architecture and technical consulting company. We are facing major challenges in Norway in terms of designing society in pace with the country’s current rapid urbanisation trend, and Sweco plays a key role in this regard. I’m very enthusiastic about this opportunity,” says Grete Aspelund, newly appointed President of Sweco Norway.

Current President Tron Kjølhamar will move to a new position at Sweco, where he will be responsible for project control for major Group projects. Tron Kjølhamar will continue as President of Sweco Norway through the end of the year.
