Sweco has signed an agreement to acquire Linnunmaa Ltd, a chemical and environmental safety consultancy in Finland. This acquisition further strengthens Sweco’s offering in technical and regulatory safety expertise and environmental services.

”The acquisition strengthens Sweco’s position as a leading safety expert and complements our current offering in Finland. The knowledge can also be used across the Sweco group. It also expands our presence to eastern Finland, providing local expertise to our clients,” advises Markku Varis, President of Sweco Finland.

Linnunmaa has 17 specialists in environmental and chemical safety consultancy, as well as EU legislation, which expands Sweco’s offering, especially for industrial clients.

“Linnunmaa has based its expertise on a high-quality combination of natural sciences, engineering and legal expertise. With Sweco’s broad expertise and strong European presence, we can offer more comprehensive services for product and production safety in Europe. We are excited to start this collaboration with our new colleagues,” advises Eeva Punta, Managing Director of Linnunmaa Ltd.
