Sweco has been commissioned to design the new 24 kilometre long E6 motorway in Hedmark, Norway.

One of the largest upcoming infrastructure projects in Norway is the construction of the new E6 motorway between Arnkvern and Moelv, through Ringsaker municipality in Hedmark county.

Sweco has been commissioned by construction company Veidekke to design the 24 kilometre long four-lane motorway. Responsible authority is Nye Veier, the Norwegian infrastructure development company.

“This is a significant project as E6 is the main north-south road through Norway. I’m glad that we can provide our expertise and commitment to design tomorrow’s infrastructure. It will contribute to make travelling safer and more efficient,” says Grete Aspelund, president Sweco Norway.

The project will start immediately and the motorway is scheduled to open for public in December 2020. The order value for Sweco is approximately SEK 70 million.
