MUSIC SERVICES FIRM TO BECOME FILM & TELEVISION ARM OF PUBLISHING & MANAGEMENT COMPANY

Joe Rangel and Pulse Recording have announced today the formation of Hitcher, a music services firm providing sync placement, marketing & music supervision that will serve as the film & television division of Pulse Recording, in addition to handling sync for a client roster that includes Universal Republic, Island Def Jam, Parlophone, Money Mack Music, Tim Armstrong, and a number of independent music publishers. In conjunction with today's announcement, Hitcher is launching its company website: http://hitchermusic.com

Joe Rangel is a former VP Film & TV executive of EMI Music Publishing, EMI-Capitol Records, and Miramax Films. He has designed Hitcher to be a company that connects music & talent across all synchronization media, soundtracks and more. In addition to major & independent labels, the company represents a number of music publishers, artist management firms, and individual artists & songwriters. Hitcher is currently placing music in some of television's biggest shows including The Discovery Network’s upcoming series “North America," Showtime’s “Shameless”, FOX’s “The Mindy Project”, CBS’ "How I Met Your Mother," and a number of independent feature films set for release this year.
