Teachers Assurance, a UK based provider of savings, investments and insurance, has today announced the launch of their online retirement hub. Containing the latest pension news, retirement planning guides, FAQs, newsletters and more; the new hub is the go-to place for teachers looking to develop a greater understanding of their pension and retirement options.

With over 135 years of experience supporting those in the education profession, Teachers Assurance identified that retirement can be a daunting prospect and recognised a need to make tailored pension information more accessible and less confusing for teachers. Through meeting with thousands of teachers each year via their programme of retirement planning seminars, the organisation identified that teachers wanted a single online area where they could research retirement and learn about their pension options via easy to digest and jargon free content.

The new Teachers Assurance retirement hub is targeted to those teachers who are approaching their retirement years and is populated with a regular stream of information reflecting topical issues such as the Teachers’ Pension Scheme reforms. The retirement hub will also provide information for teachers who are considering early retirement or are looking for ways to save a pension lump sum.

Laura Bentham, Digital Marketing Team Leader at Teachers Assurance, comments: “At Teachers Assurance, we strive to provide teachers across the UK with up to date information that can answer their longstanding pension and retirement questions. As well as sharing our wealth of educational articles, FAQ pages and retirement guides, our new hub will also show teachers where they can find useful information published by other sources; such as the fact sheets published by the Teachers’ Pension Scheme. For those who aren’t quite at the retirement stage, we’re tackling pensions and retirement first but hot on the heels will be hubs dedicated to other popular financial topics like New Individual Savings Accounts (NISAs) and savings.”
