All Technopolis Offices in Finland Received Green Office Labels

All nine Technopolis offices in Finland have received rights from the Finnish
WWF to use the Green Office label. WWF's Green Office is an environmental
management system for offices. With its help, workplaces are able to reduce
their environmental impact, achieve savings and slow down climate change. The
Technopolis offices in Tallinn, Estonia, are applying for rights to use the WWF
label and expected to receive the rights in early 2013.

With minor green actions we can gain big cost reductions. According to
estimates, Technopolis Green Offices can save up to 100 000 euros annually just
by using double-sided printing. The environmental plans of our offices also
support the management of energy consumption as well as the reduction of waste,
and hence maintenance costs caused by them.

”As a result of environmental planning, our own offices gave up disposable
plates and cups, improved waste management. We have also paid attention to
energy savings, printer settings and green procurement criteria”, says Concept
& Environmental Manager Virve Riihonen.

Green Office projects have been part of the Technopolis environmental strategy
for 2011-2015. Technopolis will also develop its services to be greener in
order to help customers achieve their own green labels and certificates.
