New rural bridle routes opened in the Vale of Glamorgan
A series of new circular routes, which can also be ridden as a single, longer route, will allow horse riders to explore the countryside between Ystradowen and Craig Penllyn using country lanes and public rights of way.
Councillor Anthony Ernest, the Vale council’s cabinet member for leisure and tourism, said: “These are the first bridle routes promoted by the council and the input received from local riders, The British Horse Society, and landowners has been invaluable.
“We hope this will lay the foundations for further routes in the future.”
Copies of the ride leaflet can be obtained from the Council’s Rights of Way department or from BHS Development Officer Jan Roche.
