The Camping and Caravanning Club has today announced the attendance of its new Club President and television presenter, Julia Bradbury, at The Caravan & Camping Show 2014 at the NEC, Birmingham.

The UK’s biggest start-of-season showcase will run from Tuesday 18 February to Sunday 23 February, and Julia will officially open the Show on the opening day.

Julia was recently elected as the Club’s first female Club President and succeeds botanist David Bellamy who had previously held the position for 11 years.

She is a great outdoor enthusiast best known as one of BBC One’s Countryfile presenters, and has also hosted a string of outdoor related programmes including Wainwright’s Walks, Railway Walks, Secret Britain, South Africa Walks, The Great British Countryside and Planet Earth Live.

Julia is looking forward to meeting Club members and said: “Camping and caravanning has always been a favourite childhood pastime of mine so I’m delighted to be able to support The Camping and Caravanning Club at this prestigious show’.

“I know the Club has some exciting activities planned throughout the week – so keep checking our website, www.campingandcaravanningclub.co.uk, for details.”

The Club has already started to release information – including the news on Friendly Friday, its official members’ day, which will take place on 21 February.

Julia added: “Although I won’t be around on Friendly Friday, I know the Club has some fantastic ticket offers for our members – it’s a great opportunity to speak to Club experts and find out how to make the most of your membership!”

Club members can buy discounted tickets on Friendly Friday for just £5.25 an adult or £4.75 for seniors (60+ years).
