Is Wheat Weighing You Down?

William Davis, MD.  Davis, a preventive cardiologist, claims to have found a destructive link between wheat, weight loss and overall health in his new book, Wheat Belly.

November 28, 2011- The Life Extension Foundation recently published a summary of the book Wheat Belly by William Davis, MD.  Davis, a preventive cardiologist, claims to have found a destructive link between wheat, weight loss and overall health.

Wheat has been marketed as being healthy and whole wheat as being the best.  However, in Davis’ medical practice, he found that patients reported eating fruits, vegetables and whole grains, avoiding junk food, fast food and sodas with many exercising for an hour per day, but they continued gaining weight.  When they cut out the wheat and focused on a diet of vegetables, nut, meat, eggs, avocados, olives and cheese, they often dropped 50 to 100 pounds in one year.  He found that many needed to eliminate non-wheat grains also before seeing any progress.

“Based on our experience, we have arrived at the same conclusion,” say boomer generation health experts Dian Griesel, Ph.D., and Tom Griesel, authors of the new book TurboCharged: Accelerate Your Fat Burning Metabolism, Get Lean Fast and Leave Diet and Exercise Rules in the Dust (April 2011, BSH).  “All grains, especially wheat, make fat loss very difficult.  Take note:  If you are having problems losing excess body fat and are still eating grains, it is time for a change.” TurboCharged® is a groundbreaking 8-Step program that defies common weight-loss theories. It successfully delivers body-defining rapid fat loss, accelerates metabolism, and improves health and odds of longevity without gimmicks, supplements or special equipment.

“Besides the elimination of grains, our TurboCharged program provides eight simple steps to help you to lose your excess body fat as quickly and painlessly as possible,” says Tom.  “Fat loss is not difficult when you work with the way your body was designed instead of against it.”
