December 24, 2011, Darien, CT--The Studio, a new full service salon operated by Demi Samlidis formerly of Frederic Fekkai opened its doors on November 11th in Darien, Connecticut. The Studio will fill a much-needed void for a modern, luxury, full amenity salon catering to the demanding needs of the residents of Fairfield County.

The manager of the Studio affectionately known as just Demi feels the salon experience should be more than just fulfilling a practical task. “It should be an escape, a pampering of the mind and body. That is the essence of what the Studio will deliver to its exclusive, style-savvy clientele,” says Demi who participated in the New England Fashion Council in 2007, Gibbs Fashion Week as well as numerous private fashion shows and special events.

That sentiment is echoed in the design and décor of the Studio. The salon’s layout is designed with an open, modern style with a sleek, glass encased waterfall wall and custom LED fiber optic twinkle light fixtures designed by Klaff’s of Norwalk. The shampoo area is cordoned off from the main space to provide an intimate, soothing setting with four state-of-the art Italian ergonomically designed shampoo chairs that conform to the body’s natural curves for the ultimate in function and comfort.

The Studio offers all hair services including haircuts, color, extensions, feather extensions and updos as well as all waxing services from traditional waxing to threading, a service that is not available in most salons in Fairfield County. For special occasions and holidays the Studio also offers makeup and airbrush makeup services as well eyebrow and eyelash tinting. Massages are offered by appointment on Tuesdays and Saturdays with plans to eventually offer manicure services and eyelash extensions. The Studio also features custom jewelry designs by Chloe & Reece.

Dan and Phil Dolcetti the owners of the building that houses the Studio said he combined two storefronts to create the salon. “Our goal was to bring a New York City quality salon to Darien where the prices are reasonable for a high end establishment” said Phil Dolcetti. “We were approached by many tenants to occupy the space next to Brooks Brothers, but we wanted to make sure we put a business there that would compliment what was in the building already,” added Dan Dolcetti.

The Studio is open Monday through Saturday from 9am-6pm and is located at 977-979 Post Road in Darien, Connecticut. For more information or to make an appointment call 203-202-9701. WWW.THESTUDIODARIEN.COM
