Jamie Burns’ enchanting tale will take young readers on a mind-boggling trip into the world of imagination...

Burt Marshmallow lives happily in the countryside with his mother and father and golden retriever Sandy. The only problem is, he’s always daydreaming and away fighting imaginary monsters. Then one day he strays too far from home and his dreams – and nightmares – start to become all too real. But is Burt really up to being the hero he’s always wanted to be?

Aimed at readers aged 7-9, The Little Boy with his Head in the Clouds is a classic fantasy story that encompasses everything, from talking animals to giants, trolls and witches. Review copies of the book are now available on request.

Throughout the story, author Jamie Burn tackles environmental issues in a childfriendly way, as he believes these ideals should be implemented from an early age, along with positive messages about responsibility, self-esteem and growing up – other themes featured throughout the book. Jamie, who is available for interview, grew up in Newcastle Upon Tyne. He was awarded a first in Philosophy at Sheffield University and a Masters with distinction in Policy studies at Edinburgh University before joining London-based think tank, Policy Exchange. He went on to work in the biotechnology industry as a policy officer. The Little Boy with his Head in the Clouds is based on his memories of weekends with his grandparents in the Tees Valley. Jamie Burn lives in South Gosforth, Newcastle upon Tyne.
