Having served the automotive industry for over 98 years, leading autoparts and workshop equipment distributor, Andrew Page was able to show its aftermarket pedigree at the Goodwood Revival. Faced with a vintage car that urgently required engine oil before competing, the Andrew Page team was able to source the correct product from the stand, ensuring the car was repaired in time to hit the track.

The Type 37 Bugatti, driven by Tom Dark, was supplied with Tetrosyl products through the stock on the Andrew Page stand, demonstrating the wide range of products offered by the motor factor and its suppliers, as well as the versatility of the products provided. Referred to the Andrew Page stand by car builder and TV presenter, Ant Anstead, Tom Dark’s Bugatti was up and running in time to compete in the race and finished a very credible sixth place, a seemingly impossible achievement before the Tetrosyl and Andrew Page teams stepped in.

Situated “Over the road” at the annual event, Andrew Page’s stand stayed true to the ethos of the occasion with an old-fashioned retail shop that featured classic Mintex adverts and staff in authentic period uniforms. The stand was also supported by Andrew Page suppliers, Tetrosyl, Tool Connection, Elwis lighting and Autoglym.

Competitions, special offers and even a barbershop quartet helped draw in the crowds, leading to strong customer engagement and sales figures across the weekend. Supported by social media activity, the competitions included a daily prize draw to win a flight experience over Sussex in a Piper Cub aircraft. A second flight experience was also up for grabs as part of the broader campaign Andrew Page is running in partnership with Mintex through its Duxford AutoInsider Live! tradeshow, offering a flight in an iconic Spitfire model.

“The Revival is a great event and one we are always keen to get involved in, given that it ties in with our brand heritage so well. We always get a positive response on the stand, giving us a good opportunity to introduce more people to the brand, leading to more sign ups and sales of our consumable products too,” said Simon Mullin, sale and marketing director at Andrew Page.

Simon added: “The situation with Tom Dark shows the depth of our product range, available through a wide range of excellent suppliers. Our Markham Vale distribution facility has 140,000ft2of car parts, and our network is supported by a fleet of 940 vehicles. This means that we are able to get customers the right parts at the right time.”
