Electric & Hybrid Vehicle Technology Expo and The Battery Show set to make European debuts in Stuttgart, April 2017
- Electric & Hybrid Vehicle Technology Expo will have its first European showcase in Stuttgart, Germany
- Expo will be co-located with The Battery Show, as two perfectly complementary exhibitions
- Expos will be a chance for major manufacturers to meet all elements of the supply chain and hear from industry experts
The two hugely successful shows, first launched in San Jose, CA in 2010, will make their European debuts in Stuttgart, Germany, from 4 – 6 April 2017. The shows will bring together in one location the industry’s most innovative suppliers and manufacturers of electric and hybrid vehicle technologies, as well as battery technology from across a range of industry sectors, with commercial and consumer applications. With European electric vehicle sales up 26.8% from 2015, this is a fast-paced, competitive sector for manufacturers requiring constant innovation and flexibility.
Electric & Hybrid Vehicle Technology Expo is an opportunity for top decision makers from major automotive OEMs and Tier 1s, as well as the entire manufacturing supply chain, to network and hear from industry experts about the manufacturing process and new technologies coming into the market.
Almost every major automotive OEM in Europe is developing hybrid and electric powertrain technology, and this expo will be a chance for experts to meet and discuss their products and the key issues and opportunities affecting the supply chain.
This year’s event will be co-located with The Battery Show, which showcases advanced battery manufacturing and technology for a range of uses.
The Battery Show caters for battery technology in automotive applications, as well as battery tech in a variety of other industries such as renewable energy and energy storage for utilities, power tools and consumer electronics.
The show looks at trends in energy storage, both automotive and renewable, as well as a range of other applications, and how the global market for this technology is changing. There will also be discussions around the repercussions for the industry of an increasingly electrified world.
Steve Bryan, Event Director for The Battery Show Europe and Electric & Hybrid Vehicle Technology Expo said, “We are delighted to be bringing Electric & Hybrid Vehicle Technology Expo and The Battery Show to Europe for the first time. Stuttgart, with its strong links to automotive manufacturing, was the perfect location to launch the shows and create a space where the latest developments in these exciting technologies could be showcased and discussed.”
Smarter Shows can already announce a range of exhibitors who will be participating, including Aradex, TRANSFLUID, Odawara Engineering Co Ltd and LORD Corp, with 50 exhibitors signed up to attend.
The shows will also be an opportunity to introduce thousands of potential customers to new products, and reach those looking for the latest technologies relevant to their business.
Jeff Norris, CEO, Paraclete Energy, whose company will be exhibiting at The Battery Show next year, said, “The Battery Show has become the must-attend event for the industry, and we recognize the EU is a gateway to the Asian markets.”
Anders Peterson, Senior Vice President of Sales, North America and Europe, BizLink Technology said: “We are doing an increasing amount of new business within the EV and battery industry. This event will help us stay connected with our customers and also puts us ahead of the competition.”
