  • New MULTILIFT Futura skiploader introduced
  • Up to 500kg more payload, plus leading safety innovations

Hiab, part of Cargotec Corporation, will be introducing the new-generation MULTILIFT Futura skiploader at RWM 2015, which takes place from the 15-17 September at the NEC.

The MULTILIFT Futura skiploader boasts a number of innovative features designed to meet the highest standards of durability and safety, coupled with fast, easy operation.  Manufactured from lightweight steel, the completely redesigned structure now offers between 300-500 kg more payload without compromising strength or safety.  This not only allows customers to reduce costs by lessening the number of loads required, but will also help reduce fuel costs and ultimately CO2 emissions.

The distinctive SwanNeck™ design allows the extra-long telescopic arms to increase the skiploader’s reach while maintaining perfect stability. As well as allowing operators to remain a good distance from potential hazards, this is also of benefit on sites with difficult-to-negotiate angles or when lifting over fences and obstacles.

Safety is always a vital consideration in the design of HIAB products, and the MULTILIFT Futura is no exception, with leading-edge innovations such as hydraulic side stops, container locks and precise controls combined with safety interlocks. In addition the SkipTop™ technology means operators can cover any load at the touch of a button with no need to climb onto the vehicle.

Finally the freedom to customise the MULTILIFT Futura is assured using FlexControl™.  Options include any combination of outside, in-cab and radio remote controls, a dynamic on-board weighing system and smart-drive for telescopic arms and stabiliser legs.

Speaking of the new product, Hiab National Sales Manager Alastair Evans commented: “It’s vitally important in today’s competitive business that our customers are provided with the very latest forward-thinking products.

As market leader, it’s our role to keep up with changes in market conditions and legislation on their behalf, and to set the bar in providing them with the very best technological, environmental and safety equipment around.”

The Hiab team can be found on stand no 5V124 at the RWM 2015 Show, where there will also be an opportunity to view the MULTILIFT XR 24 as well as a number of DEL tail lifts.
