Come Together

As we approach the end of another year, I wanted to look back and draw on our achievements from the last 12 months, in particular our involvement in the XX Commonwealth Games between July and August 2014. Toshiba TEC completed a major deployment in support of The Games, by providing essential office automation across three cities – Glasgow, Dundee, and Edinburgh.

We were awarded the role of Official Office Automation Supporter by Glasgow 2014 and supplied a comprehensive printing solution for the build-up period and during the Games itself.

As you can imagine, the operational infrastructure and rigorous standards required for such an enormous undertaking like the Commonwealth Games is vital to its success and it was a massive task. I’m pleased to say though that it was a dream installation and all went to plan – and 602 of our machines produced a staggering 11 million prints.

The result is that it has helped re-energise our people, who were brought in from all four corners of the UK, and reinforced our ability to support other large-scale events. As a result, we would have no issues with going after this kind of business again, both sporting and non sporting events.

2014 also saw the adoption of our new Together Information concept. Together Information is our vision for how people and organisations create, record, share, manage and display ideas and data. It is made possible through our integrated portfolio of industry-specific solutions, all of which reflect a commitment to streamlined business operations and a positive future for the planet. Our ultimate aim is to help our customers reduce costs, increase efficiency and maintain quality, with an eco-friendly focus,- important factors to consider and continue into 2015 and beyond.

With what we’ve learned, experienced and created in 2014, we can unquestionably set the pace for how 2015 will come together.

On behalf of everyone at Toshiba TEC UK - I would like to wish you all a happy and successful New Year.

Return back in 2015 for more in this series of blogs.
