Valmet and Nevel deepen their cooperation with the next level automation user interface. The new Valmet DNA User Interface will be upgraded in Nevel’s central remote operations centre as well as at the company’s five power plants and eleven heat plants to enhance usability and information security of remote operations. Valmet has previously delivered automation to Nevel’s central remote operations centre, power plants and heat plants.

The order was included in Valmet's orders received of the fourth quarter 2020. The value of the order will not be disclosed. The delivery will take place in the summer 2021.

Valmet DNA’s innovative web-based user interface extends the use of the automation system beyond the traditional remote operations. Built with latest web technologies, it comes with a secure web-based access that enables the plant teams to access relevant information whenever they need it, regardless of their location.

Nevel will fully utilize the flexibility and intuitiveness of Valmet DNA User Interface and carry out its design and page configuration. Valmet also continues to provide Nevel with related services.

Nevel’s digital operations and maintenance platform provides an opportunity to digitalize energy production and offsite operations. Based on centralized data and analytics, the digital operations and maintenance platform gathers all the data needed to support business decisions, bringing significant synergy benefits and direct cost savings. Nevel wants to further invest in latest technology by Valmet in order to enhance transparency to operations and set targets, as well as improve production predictability,” says Ville Koikkalainen, Director, Digital operations and Development, Nevel.

“This comprehensive Valmet DNA User Interface upgrade is an excellent example of Valmet’s commitment to the lifecycle support for our customers’ assets. The new DNA User Interface is fully compatible with earlier Valmet DNA system generations,” says Arto Mäkinen, Sales Manager, Automation, Valmet.

The new Valmet DNA User Interface will be installed in Nevel’s remote central operations centre as well as at the company’s five power plants.
