The EF5 tornado that tore through Oklahoma on May 20 was one of the worst natural disasters in our history. The winds that reached up to 200 miles per hour reduced neighborhoods, schools and a hospital to rubble. Today, Visioneer is proud to announce that this quarter the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma is going to be the beneficiary of Visioneer’s Where There Is A Need Program.

The Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma opened a Disaster Relief Distribution Center in Moore shortly after the storms hit.  The center is open to all residents who have been affected by the tornado, including those who sustained minor damage. The Distribution Center is stocked with items such as: food, shovels, gloves, trash bags, safety goggles, paper goods, diapers, personal hygiene products, snacks, packing boxes, water and Gatorade.  The center is open six days a week and will continue to serve residents for up to two years.

“The devastation that resulted from the EF5 tornado that touched down in Moore was heartbreaking to see,” said Greg Elder, Visioneer’s CFO and Sustainability Officer.   “The Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma is a wonderful charity with 98.7% of donations going directly to their cause. We are happy to support them.”
