Volvo Penta to deliver 1,000 engines to Italian Sessa Marine Volvo Penta has signed an agreement with the Italian power boat manufacturer Sessa Marine regarding deliveries of approximately 1,000 engines and drive systems over three years. The total order value amounts to approximately SEK 100 million. The agreement covers supply of stern drive versions of Volvo Penta´s 2- to 4-litre diesel engines manufactured in Vara, Sweden, including the popular KAD300 engine, and Volvo Penta´s U.S-manufactured 4- and 5-litre gasoline engines. The new agreement enhances Volvo Penta´s strong positions among the major boat builders in the European marine leisure business. Volvo Penta has previously delivered a limited number of engines to Sessa Marine but the new agreement secures significantly higher volumes. Sessa Marine is one of the main European boat manufacturers with activities in both the marine leisure and marine commercial field. The company design and produce more than 1,000 boats annually between 14 and 40 feet. ------------------------------------------------------------ This information was brought to you by Waymaker http://www.waymaker.net The following files are available for download: http://www.waymaker.net/bitonline/2002/11/04/20021104BIT00230/wkr0001.doc http://www.waymaker.net/bitonline/2002/11/04/20021104BIT00230/wkr0002.pdf
