275 new apartments for Tyresö

Today the construction of 275 apartments in Tyresö officially began when Chairman of the Municipal Executive Board Fredrik Saweståhl and Wallenstam’s CEO Hans Wallenstam carried out sheet pile driving as a symbolic start. The apartments are divided between 221 rental apartments in the Allén project and 54 cooperative apartments in the Terrassen Elva project, which offers an extraordinary shared roof terrace.

“We are really happy to have now started this new construction in Tyresö in two different projects, which will contribute to urban development in Tyresö in various ways,” says Mathias Aronsson, Vice CEO of Wallenstam.

Both projects are part of the Järnet 7 block close to Bollmora Allé in nature-rich Tyresö.

The rental apartments in Allén will be constructed in two different blocks with two slab blocks and one high-rise tower per block. The apartments will range in size from 1 to 4 rooms and kitchen with preliminary occupation set for 2019. A glass staircase will be designed between the buildings to provide excellent natural light access. Half of the apartments will be allocated via Stockholm Housing Agency ( Stockholms Bostadsförmedling ) and half via Wallenstam’s own housing queue. The architect’s office is Sjögren Arkitekter.

Terrassen Elva with 54 cooperative apartments in a high-rise tower block featuring a brick façade and a roof terrace commanding a view over Tyresö will be constructed at the intersection of Bollmora Allé and Bollmora Gårdsväg. The project got its name from the unique roof terrace on the 11th floor offering excellent opportunities for social gatherings and proximity to nature. The apartments have an open layout with colors that recur in various details. Occupation of the Terrassen Elva apartments is expected during 2020. The design studio Note was responsible for and worked with the concept, colors and materials. The architect's offices are Sjögren Arkitekter and Semrén & Månsson.
