Focus on Painterly Florals

Inspiring new designs from some of the biggest wallpaper brands, this pretty and artistic trend is the perfect choice for spring/summer 2017.  Painterly florals can be bold and bright for an eye-catching statement or soft and delicate for a more understated look.

Designers Guild showcase their jewel like tones in these beautiful examples of the trend with a striking feminine feel. Try pairing these with paint or fabric in the brighter shades for a colourful contemporary look or match with muted neutrals to let the wallpaper shine.

Harlequin’s new Standing Ovation collection takes a more stylised approach with the abstract Exuberance paper with dragged watercolour blooms, the large scale floral trail Floreale and the pretty Salice paper with a hand painted look.

Subtle shades can be found in the beautiful Waterperry collection from Sanderson. Inspired by country gardens, the pallet focuses on lilacs, indigos, creams and mint with a soft painted finish. The collection includes wallpapers and large scale wall panels for those statement rooms.

For those who would like a more contemporary design in softer shades, try the ornamental branches and flowers in Nina Campbell’s Perdana. Featuring shades of lilacs and greens, this printed paper resembles coloured crayon for a striking effect.  Alternatively, Albany offers a more romantic take on painterly floral theme with the soft pink Raipur Floral and the pretty Rose Floral.
