Programs range from outdoor wellness and Sunset Wednesdays to nature walks and workshops

In addition to its signature summer series Sunset Wednesdays, featuring free music and dance, this public garden and cultural center in the Bronx offers a rich array of programs designed to enhance the visitor's connection to nature. In Glyndor Gallery, Gregory Crewdson's stunning black-and-white photos of fireflies are complemented by a series of nature walks and workshops focusing on bees, bats, pollinators, fireflies and other insects. Summer wellness programs kick off with a a free session of community yoga on June 7, followed by weekly sessions of tai chi, yoga and meditation. Regular birding walks and guided garden walks bring the lush summer gardens to life for visitors, while art workshops are opportunities for nature to inspire. As always, programs for families are a hallmark of the season, beginning with the free Family Art Project each weekend. Families also enjoy read-aloud time Thursday afternoons, and yoga for babies--with Mom or Dad--Wednesday mornings.
