The MPC480s will serve in a Broadband Network Gateway (BNG) role for up to 24 000 new HeLi NET broadband subscribers.

The German city operator HeLi NET has provided Fiber To The Home (FTTH) services in the cities of Hamm, Lünen, Unna and surrounding since 2008 and has been a Waystream customer since then. The company has now placed an order for brand new MPC480’s, a versatile and powerful Edge-routing device designed to deliver cost efficiency and scalability in an Ethernet based infrastructure. The order was placed via Waystream’s German partner Trigon.

-       We are delighted to announce that our long-term customer in Germany HeLi NET has chosen to implement the MPC480 in a BNG role. The best proof of concept for us is when existing customers want to integrate more products from our portfolio. We are excited to continue working with HeLi NET to enable access to reliable broadband infrastructure on the German market, says Mats Öberg CEO at Waystream.

When implementing the MPC480s, HeLi NET will get BNG functionality for up to 24 000 new subscribers the company will deploy to the network. This means effective authorization and authentication for a vast number of subscribers which facilitates network expansion for HeLi NET.

-       We look forward to implementing the MPC480 in a BNG-role in our ambitious network expansion. We have been working with Waystream’s products since 2008 and are fully satisfied with both performance and cost-effectiveness, says Markus Hüsken CTO at HeLi NET.
