Spectrum Photographic Present Inaugural Award for Emerging Talent

The Debut competition will award final year photography students with a £500 bursary and national exposure. 

Spectrum Photographic is proud to present the first edition of the Debut Award, which will provide an opportunity for emerging talent to have their final degree work judged by a panel of influential photographic experts. The winner will be selected on the body of work received through Spectrum Photographic’s online ordering service, alongside a project statement. This edition of the award is open to final year students.

The prize will include:

-A £500 bursary

-The opportunity to be judged by a board of industry professionals, including: Simon Roberts, Clare Strand, Christine Santa Ana, Mariama Attah, Chris Littlewood & Brian Liddy

-Having your work featured as a “Showcase” on the Photoworks website alongside an article by Programme Curator, Mariama Attah, outlining the selection process

-A feature in Spectrum’s monthly newsletter which is sent out to a client database that includes picture editors, curators, and artists from around the country

-A graduate feature on Spectrum Photographic’s blog

-Exposure on Spectrum Photographic’s social media platform

The closing date for submissions is 30th June, 2015 at 6pm GMT, and the competition is FREE to enter.

Orders must be uploaded through the online ordering service, with #spectrumdebut entered in the optional message box on the payment page.
