ACDelco Improves Fluidity Of Its Website

Leading global aftermarket automotive components supplier, ACDelco, has overhauled both the look and content of its UK and European website. Designed to be more user friendly and increasingly interactive, the changes introduced are both design and functionality led.
Accessible at
www.acdelco.eu.com, the new look website landing page presents visitors with a logical layout to aid navigation. Playing on ACDelco’s latest global promotional theme – ‘Part Of Something Bigger’ – the site now represents the platform from which instant access can be gained to ACDelco’s slick new E-catalogue. This new feature alone enables searches to be undertaken for vehicle components in what amounts to the ‘blink of any eye’.
The site also provides ACDelco distributors with password protected access to the company’s fully automated online parts ordering system. Branded ‘OLO’ (Online Ordering) and entered via a ‘Customer Login’ button, it enables customers to carry out a number of functions 24 hours per day, seven days per week. In addition to creating new orders, customers can view historical ones, monitor orders submitted by tracking them online, check stock availability and place back orders. They can also gain instant access to ACDelco’s in-house Customer Care Team.
Not surprisingly, the site is also home to a wealth of product information relating to ACDelco’s eight core product ranges covering: batteries, brakes, bulbs clutch, filters, fluids, spark plugs and wiper blades. An insight into ACDelco’s history and heritage, not to mention an easily accessible news section that is visible on the home page, serves to provide added interest. And completing the picture, the site gives distributors the chance to download ACDelco’s 32-page, 2011 global merchandising catalogue that takes in a full range of apparel and accessories, pens and desktop items, promotional giveaways, shop items and ACDelco branded golf gear.
Commenting on the new look site, ACDelco’s General Manager, Lee Quinney said: “The new look site represents a quantum leap forward, and in executing its delivery we have tried to make it both an interesting and resourceful place to be. We are confident that we have got the balance right between the level of content and the manner in which the information is presented and accessible. As you can imagine, we obviously view the website as a dynamic proposition, so it is our intention to develop it further in the future. So, as is the ACDelco ethos here in the UK and across Europe, it is once again a case of ‘watch this space’.”
