SIG Windows pioneers quality assurance scheme

SIG Windows - formerly known as Window Fitters Mate (WFM) - has pioneered a strict quality assurance scheme for its expansive range of windows and doors to ensure that the glass and frame are in perfect condition prior to dispatch.

Testament to the company’s technical and professional prowess, this latest development seeks to offer complete peace of mind to customers by supplying the right materials to the right place, in the right time and ensuring no delays on their project.

Prior to dispatch, every SIG Windows branch must follow a detailed checklist in order to ensure that the windows and doors are in top quality and condition, and more importantly that they meet the customer’s order specifications. It can then be filed away for future reference.

Post inspection, a QC sticker is applied to the product confirming that the glass and frame are in perfect condition prior to dispatch, and that they don’t have any marks or damage thus ensuring it can be fitted first time. This sticker is the contractor’s assurance that their delivery has been fully checked against their order by the branch to ensure it meets their exact specification.

Steve Jones, Operations Manager at SIG Windows comments: “The QC scheme confirms our commitment to quality and to our customers. Working with a number of leading and reputable manufacturers enables us to provide a range of high quality products. However, we wanted to go one step further by guaranteeing that our customers not only receive quality products, but they come with no hassles, no worries and complete peace of mind.”

“This scheme provides the contractor with a true ‘fit and forget’ solution, and ensures that projects suffer no delays, no loss of business or profit, and no potential embarrassment or damage to reputation,” adds Steve.

The launch of the quality assurance scheme by SIG Windows brand follows its recent rebrand and emergence in the lucrative and growing market for windows, doors and conservatories. Incorporating Window Fitters Mate (WFM) - one of the leading independent suppliers of fabricated windows, doors and conservatories in the UK - the brand forms part of the new SIG Building Plastics division.

To ensure that customers receive quality products with no hassles, no worries and complete peace of mind, SIG Windows has pioneered a QC sticker that is applied after inspecting all products to ensure the glass/frame is in perfect condition prior to dispatch. Every window and door that displays this sticker is an assurance that it has been checked against the order/survey sheet by the branch to ensure it meets the customer’s specification exactly. It also means that it doesn’t have any marks or damage thus ensuring it can be fitted first time.
