Wihlborgs has signed a lease with Tele 2 for 2,300 m² in the Sirius city block, currently under construction in Nyhamnen in Malmö. This means that all of the office space in the building is now let.

Construction at Sirius is now entering its final phase and Tele 2 plans to make the move in November 2017. Other companies that have signed leases for Sirius include the law firm LA Partners and the housing company JM. Only one or two retail premises remain to be let on the ground floor.

“We have noted considerable interest in the Sirius development, which has a fantastic location close to the central station, city centre and gateways in and out of Malmö. Tele2 and other companies that plan to locate to Nyhamnen will be able to closely follow the area’s regeneration. Wihlborgs is now focusing on its next project in the area,” says Anders Jarl, CEO of Wihlborgs Fastigheter.

Nyhamnen is the next major development area in Malmö and its proximity to the city centre and the station has led to the area sometimes being referred to as southern Sweden’s most central location. Wihlborgs already owns some ten properties in the area and has been allocated land for approximately 25,000 m² of additional office space.
