Wihlborgs signs lease with Swedish Customs in Hyllie

Wihlborgs has signed a lease with Swedish Customs (Tullverket) for 6,300 m2 in the Dungen office building, under construction in Hyllie in south-west Malmö.

Swedish Customs is currently housed in a Wihlborgs property at Storgatan 20 and in conjunction with the move almost 9,000 m2 of office space will become available in an attractive location in central Malmö.

“Wihlborgs has had Swedish Customs as a tenant for ten years and we are naturally pleased to continue our partnership. In the Dungen property we will be creating modern office premises directly adjacent to Hyllie railway station, close to the Öresund Bridge,” says Anders Jarl, CEO of Wihlborgs Fastigheter.

Dungen is Wihlborgs’ first project in Hyllie. The property comprises about 9,000 m2 and will include six floors and an underground car park. Space will be created on the ground floor for stores, restaurants and services. The upper two floors will have space for additional tenants.

The building will be green in several senses — it is being certified in line with Sweden Green Building Council Gold and the entrance floor’s atrium is being planted with trees to provide a living, green environment. The verdant garden of the farm previously located on the site has been used as inspiration for the tree planting. Construction will start in January and the building is expected to be ready for occupancy during the first quarter of 2019.
