Renowned for its outstanding performance in movie and music playback, Arcam’s latest 3D Blu-ray player, the BDP300 offers a range of straightforward integration and control options, making it ideally suited to CI media room and home cinema applications.

“Delivering the highest quality audio and cinematic experience is the key in custom installation,” says Charlie Brennan, Arcam’s Managing Director. “Our BDP300 is engineered to provide just such an experience - totally immersive movie viewing in 2D or 3D and emotionally engaging audio, whether from CD or soundtrack - all from a purpose-designed Blu-ray player that’s easy to install and integrate as part of a bigger project.”

The BDP300 uses a simple, direct video path from the disc to its ultra-high precision outputs, allowing pristine quality picture presentation without any unintentional artefacts. Broadcast quality digital video clocks during processing complement the process to produce stunning video performance.

Arcam’s BDP300 features the class leading Wolfson Audio 8741 digital to analogue converter (DAC) to ensure music performance meets the same “reference” standards. This device, coupled with a linear phase Bessel output filter and high precision re-clocking system, results in audio quality comparable to a dedicated audiophile CD player.

The BDP300 has a very fast loading time and it simple and logical user interface means  that the customer journey from disc insertion to playback is as fast as possible.

Arcam has specially designed the BPD300’s power supply for maximum performance. Discreet sub-regulated power supplies on the drive, audio and DAC boards help benefit the overall performance of each element, enabling each section to work independently, without interference.

Designed for easy integration within Crestron, Control4, AMX and other whole house control systems through RS232 or IP connection, the BDP300 is also supplied with a, 12V trigger and standard IR control options.

The BDP300 is available to custom installers through channel distributor AWE ( More information can be found at or installers can contact the company direct to arrange a demonstration or for additional sales and technical support.  Follow Arcam on twitter @ArcamCI.

Born in the mid 1970’s, Arcam (or “A&R Cambridge” as it was known then) set out to prove that a sensibly priced hi-fi amplifier that was cleverly engineered could deliver the sort of performance only usually found in vastly more expensive specialist manufacturers products. Using new transistor technology, a simple, single circuit board design and slimline chassis with classic good looks the A60 amplifier was the first of a new breed. The performance delivered was astonishing, the price was affordable and the company grew quickly as a result. More than ten years ago, Arcam’s DVD research and development programme delivered products designed for high performance home cinemas from the ground up.  This allowed for the development of players and receivers that were designed for both audio and video performance first. This approach has given the company unmatched experience in the home cinema arena and its current products reflect this in their performance levels in both pictures and sound. The company still use the best available technology, solid engineering principles and British ingenuity to deliver pristine sound and video quality and help bring wonderful music and movies to life.
