BIID ANNOUNCES SUMMER PARTY
The British Institute of Interior Design (BIID) has announced plans for its 2012 Summer Party which will take place at the UK showroom of BIID industry partner, Republic of Fritz Hansen, in Margaret Street, London on the evening of Thursday 21st June.
Members will be treated to champagne and canapés from 6pm, in the cool, Scandinavian surroundings of the Fritz Hansen showroom. The Danish furniture brand was founded in 1872 by Fritz Hansen, a Danish carpenter. Their UK store is run in partnership with Scandinavian design emporium, Skandium. Located right in the heart of the Fitzrovia design district, the period building has a prime position and will showcase their classic designer pieces.
“Our summer party is a great way to celebrate the BIID’s progress over the last year,” says Joy Curniffe, the Institute’s Membership Manager. “We are thrilled to be holding this year’s event in the Fritz Hansen showroom, whose striking pieces are sure to be a much talked about subject on the night. It is an excellent opportunity for members to catch up with other designers and suppliers, as we all look forward to an exciting 2012 for the institute.”
The Summer Party will take place straight after the BIID’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) which follows their Celebrating British Design Conference; a day-long event of inspirational speakers drawn from right across the design spectrum.
