Oblong Industries takes to the stage at InfoComm 2016 to talk about The Future of Work
Los Angeles, CA (1 June, 2016) – Oblong Industries will be participating in three theatre sessions at InfoComm in Las Vegas, June 4-10. Visiting delegates will have the opportunity to hear Oblong’s experts share their thoughts and insights about the future of work and its relationship to unified communications, collaboration, and the Internet of Things.
On Wednesday, 8 June at 2:15-3:15 PM, Oblong’s Steve Pryor, Director EMEA Channel Sales, will be participating in a compelling panel discussion moderated by David Danto of Dimension Data, along with speakers from Polycom, AVI-SPL, Pexip, Condeco, and Logitech. The ‘Workspaces of Tomorrow’ panel will discuss how collaboration technologies support a better work/life balance, and continue to influence the future of office design and working environments for happier, more productive workers. Visit Room N258 to be part of this energetic conversation.
Also on Wednesday, 8 June at 3:00 - 3:30 PM, David Kung, Oblong Industries’ VP of Product Strategy, will be presenting ‘ The Mixed Reality of IoT’ in the IoT Theatre . The Internet of Things, just like Big Data, is bringing a deluge of data into the enterprise. As companies capture more and more data, there is a fundamental bottleneck to making the information accessible and useful. Information must be present and legible before it can become truly comprehensible and actionable. This is where AV comes in. IoT isn’t just an IT opportunity, it is an AV opportunity. David Kung will discuss the vital role pixels, displays, and physical immersion play in the future of work.
On Thursday, 9 June at 10:30AM-12:00 noon in room N258 Mark Backman, Sales Engineering Manager at Oblong, will be participating in the ‘ Touch & Collaborate’ panel discussion moderated by Kevin Hyatt of Disney, alongside speakers from AVI-SPL, InFocus and Ricoh. With Microsoft’s new Surface Hub taking its place next to ubiquitous products already on the market, the Interactive WhiteBoard (IWB) / Touch Display is being looked at in a new light. What should you be aware of regarding how these products work and are managed within an organization? Where have they helped vs. provided no real value. What is the correct combination of features to look for – the systems that do one or two things well or the systems that can do anything? This engaging session will look at this long existing market sector in light of the many new products within it.
