PLENTY TO SEE AT THE SOUTH OF ENGLAND SHOWGROUND FOR ALL ANIMAL LOVERS

Get muddy paws this autumn as The South of England Showground hosts various events. From sheep to horses, llamas to guinea pigs there is something for everyone!
On Thursday the 20thof September, the Dolphin Sheep Fair will see farmers come from near and far to stock up on their flocks or to buy their ram from the selection of 5,000/6,000 breeding ewes, store lambs and rams on offer; all of different breeds and varieties.
Sally Rogers, of South East Marts, says “It is a thoroughly enjoyable day and a true delight to see all the sheep penned and sold in one day. We have been running the Dolphin Sheep Fair at the Showground for over 25 years and it continues to be the perfect location for farmers and smallholders to make some great purchases and enjoy a fantastic day.”
Whether you’re “horsey” or not, the South East Equestrian Services International Horse Trials will provide hours of entertainment. On the 22ndand 23rdof September, visitors can experience equine sporting at its best, with dressage, show jumping and cross country. The trials are the largest in the county, featuring top riders, not only from the UK, but from across the world. With the show expanding across the beautiful showground, and into neighbouring land, the event guarantees to give visitors plenty to see.

Part of the event is held in the recently refurbished Norfolk Pavilion and thanks to The South of England Centre’s new contract with Anise catering, guests can experience delicious local food.
Entry is £10 per car, and gates open from 9am – 6pm.
