Take Out Chill Out: Williams at Takeaway Innovation Expo 2014

The choice and flexibility of Williams’ range of refrigeration is designed to match the huge variety that characterises the takeaway sector.  “From coffee shops to burger bars to pizza parlours, Chinese, Indian, fish and chip shops – we aim to offer a one stop shop for takeaway refrigeration,” says marketing manager Martin Laws.  The selection of innovative ideas on stand T430 will include space-saving back of house cabinets, a mobile prep counter, and energy-saving front of house merchandisers. 

Typical of Williams’ thoughtful designs is the Under Broiler Counter UBC5.  This space-saving, low-level refrigerated drawers counter is designed specifically to hold chargrills and griddles – so the cooking appliance sits on top of the refrigeration, keeping everything to hand for the chef.  At the show, it will be seen with a Falcon Dominator Plus griddle and chargrill.  Falcon Foodservice Equipment is a sister company to Williams and will display a selection of cooking appliances suited to the takeaway market, including countertop ovens and fryers.  

For takeaway kitchens with limited space Williams offers the Small Kitchen Range.  This features slimmed down products that have all the features and qualities of their conventional versions, but in a compact format.

For example, the PW4 mobile prep well is an innovative, space saving solution that can be moved around the kitchen to wherever it is needed, ensuring chilled, fresh ingredients are always to hand. It’s ideal for pizza, salad and sandwich preparation in kitchens with limited room.  Meanwhile for larger kitchens Williams offer the Onyx range of prep stations, with ingredient wells mounted over storage cabinets. 

Williams’ Amber cabinets are robust, effective and inexpensive.  On display will be the space-saving HA135, which is front-venting and designed to work effectively in temperatures up to 32°C, thanks to high efficiency fans that improve air circulation and performance. All Amber models come with adjustable, nylon coated shelving, lockable doors with easy clean magnetic gaskets, and adjustable feet - offering the perfect solution for the budget- or space-conscious.

For coffee shops and late night takeaways, there’s always a demand for chilled food and drink.  Williams Multideck Merchandisers and Bottle Coolers keep stock safely chilled, while their design maximises every millimetre of retail space. Multidecks are also available in a choice of formats and colours to suit any application and its surrounding décor.
