Aspiro has today signed a letter of intent with a new partner in one of the Benelux countries, for a re-branded version of its successful WiMP streaming music service. The terms of the final agreement would provide Aspiro with revenues in the range of SEK 8-30 million over a period of four years.

Aspiro expects to launch with the new partner within the coming 3-6 months.

“Aspiro is looking to expand into new markets, and although launching WiMP-branded directly to consumers is our main strategy, we are also flexible towards partners who want to use their own branding. This agreement could generate a substantial growth for us,” says CEO of Aspiro Gunnar Sellæg.

WiMP is growing rapidly and had at the end of June over 300,000 paying users in four countries, up from 100,000 at year end. 700,000 Norwegian Canal Digital customers can now also get WiMP included in their television subscription. WiMP is available in Norway, Sweden and Denmark, and in Portugal as a white label solution. WiMP focuses on helping users find their way around the vast music library with millions of songs. WiMP was in July elected world's best music service at Meffy Awards in London.
