Zaandam, The Netherlands (July 3, 2014) – The Xperience is WoodWing´s biennial event for publishing and marketing professionals, interested in multi-channel publishing, content marketing and digital asset management. The jam-packed program of the two-day conference featured keynote speeches, presentations and case studies revolving around the topics of modern publishing and communications.

Following the opening keynote by WoodWing CEO Roel-Jan Mouw speaking about “Cloud, Analytics and Big Data in relation to Multi-Channel and Digital Asset Management,” the informative and entertaining keynotes by Dr. Samir Husni – Mr. Magazine™ and Mashable CTO Robyn Peterson were highlights in the morning of the first day.

Among the speakers were Hearst Magazines (USA), Meredith (USA), Media Progetti (Italy), Yaffa Publishing (Australia), Bonnier Media Group (Germany), and Russia Beyond The Headlines (Russia). They addressed hot topics that included the further automation of publishing processes, the merging of editorial teams to efficiently create content for various channels, the need to organize and work with large amounts of digital files, and much more.

"The WoodWing Xperience 2014 was a great opportunity for all attendees to learn more about successful publishing strategies and how publishing and communications will further develop in the future,” Mouw said. “The visitors' interest in the keynotes and presentations was very high, and it was great to see how customers, partners, the sponsors and our team shared their thoughts and ideas. It was just networking at its best – the way to get great things on track.”

Robert Brai, founder and COO of WoodWing´s Solution Partner Superior Media Solutions, has summarized his impressions of the WoodWing Xperience and outlines the importance of a functioning community in a blog post at http://tinyurl.com/o73j89c.

WoodWing announces two new products
WoodWing announced version 5 of its digital asset management solution Elvis DAM at the event. With a server architecture that has been entirely rewritten, the new version sets a new standard in digital asset management, enabling the high-performance management of up to 1 billion assets. The new version will become available later this year.

WoodWing also announced Enterprise Analytics, a new cloud-based product with advanced analytics features for its multi-channel publishing system Enterprise. Enterprise Analytics provides authorized users up-to-date information about the progress and efficiency of their production processes, enabling them to take timely action whenever needed.

Impresa and WoodWing close deal to implement Elvis DAM
Portugal’s largest media group, Impresa, and WoodWing announced that the publisher has selected WoodWing´s digital asset management solution Elvis DAM to manage its rapidly growing archive, already containing millions of images and other assets. Elvis DAM will be used in close conjunction with WoodWing´s multi-channel publishing system Enterprise, already implemented by Impresa in 2013. The publisher obtained Elvis DAM leveraging the attractive subscription model offered by WoodWing.

Networking at the Xperience party at ‘Lisbon´s best-kept secret’
In the evening of the first day, participants were taken to "Lisbon´s secret spot,” the Restaurante de Montes Claros. Delicious food, great drinks, a Fado singer, a splendid view of the city, and last but not least the TV broadcasting of the World Cup soccer match of Brazil vs. Mexico created a relaxed atmosphere to meet and exchange thoughts about publishing and more.

The WoodWing Xperience was sponsored by Adobe Systems, movemen, enfocus, dataplan, 2imagine and CoDesCo/Impressed.
