Osian offers the ride of a lifetime

Welsh rally star Osian Pryce has turned to the business community and his fan base in an effort to continue his dream of becoming a Junior World Rally Champion.

Pryce has led both Junior WRC rounds he has started in Portugal and Poland this season, dominating Rally Poland and leading comfortably until they were slowed by an engine glitch. He and co-driver Dale Furniss finished second.

Pryce was forced to sit out the last round of the Junior WRC in Finland last week because of a lack of funding. He’s determined not to let the same thing happen again when it comes to the Tour de Corse, France’s round of the series in October.

Osian is offering supporters the chance to have their name, picture and company logo on his car for the Tour de Corse (October 1-4).

For £500, a company logo will be incorporated into the team’s livery for the Ajaccio-based event. In addition, the company will be included in Osian’s media communications and newsletter. But, here’s the clincher… there will be a ride alongside Osian in the team’s Junior WRC specification Citroën DS 3 R3-Max at a test later this season.

For £300, an individual can have their photograph incorporated into a picture montage on the bonnet of the R3-Max for the Tour de Corse. And having ridden on the car in Corsica, they will then get to ride in the car at the test.

The third option (£100) is to have your name on the roof of the car and be entered into a prize draw to win a ride.

Osian said: “It was terrible having to sit out the last round of the championship in Finland. We know we’ve got the speed to lead at this level, we just want to turn all that potential into wins now and that’s the plan for Corsica.

“But first we have to get there. And that’s where this idea comes in. We’re asking local businesses to get behind us and let us take their company logo to one of the world’s most iconic and challenging rallies.

“On top of that, it would be great if some of the fans could join us as well. We’re lucky enough to have some great people following us and the return for helping us in October is a great opportunity to see the sport from the inside – something not many have the chance to do.”
