Programme, project management and technical consultancy WYG moves to new offices at the Pavilion in Southampton to accommodate the expanding team and support the growth of the business in the region.

From 11 August, WYG employees currently based in the company offices at Droxford and Lyndhurst will be based at the Pavilion Building, a new facility located on the Botleigh Grange Office Campus on the outskirts of Southampton. This move marks an important milestone in the company’s expansion, supporting further growth and allowing the team to offer a broad range of services from one office.

The Pavilion will provide WYG with a new platform to widen its support to clients in the region and will host teams of experts, whose specialist skills cover a wide range of services including Ecology, Property & Project Management Services, Town Planning Consultancy, Minerals and Waste Planning, Permitting, Engineering and Survey Services.

Martin Hawthorne, Office Director, Southampton said: “The merger of the Droxford and Lyndhurst offices represents an exciting opportunity to establish a south coast hub for WYG. The new office will offer clients a broad range of disciplines under one roof to support their aspirations and requirements. The joining of the teams will hopefully lead to growth of all WYG disciplines and firmly establish WYG as the number one multidisciplinary consultant in central southern England.”

The company has been recently appointed to carry out significant urban extension projects in Eastleigh, Chichester, and Worthing. These projects have been multidisciplinary appointments led by the town planning team. WYG has also been assisting Hampshire County Council, in its role as minerals planning authority, to facilitate public debate and discussion on issues associated with on-shore oil and gas extraction.

Amongst other significant regional projects, WYG has been involved in delivering technical advisory services in connection with five secondary schools within the overall Surrey Schools Building Programme and, most recently, providing Guildford Borough Council with multidisciplinary services for a town centre re-development scheme.
