Yachting Pages handed out two iPad minis and two GoPro cameras to shocked competition winners at the Monaco Yacht Show. The competitions were run in association with Global Marine Communications (GMC) and Veritais who donated the prizes.

To enter the competitions captains and crews filled in surveys and posted images of themselves on social media with copies of Yachting Pages in a bid to win the sought after prizes.

Costas Charalambous, sales director from GMC and Michelle Williams, website and digital marketing manager from Yachting Pages presented the iPads to the competition winners.

Daniel, first mate on board the 46m Starling won for his photographic entry.  Daniel said, “I’m so surprised, I can’t speak.  You’ve made me so happy, I never thought I would win.”

Lucas, first officer on board Let it Be, a 47m motor yacht won the second iPad mini for his survey entry and commented, “I’m delighted to have won, it’s such a great prize.  I never win anything, so it’s a real shock for me.  Thank you so much to Yachting Pages and GMC, I appreciate it and will enter again next year.”

The GoPro cameras donated by Veritais were awarded to Chris, 2nd officer from superyacht Blush for his survey and Jaryd, chef on board 45m motor yacht Fathom for his infamous naked chef photograph.

Sarrah Macey, international events manager for Yachting Pages explained, “Jaryd joined us at our stand in Cannes and submitted a naked picture of himself for our photo competition. A copy of Yachting Pages was the only thing protecting his modesty. Fortunately for us, but unfortunately for him, the engineer ran off with his clothes. I think he definitely deserved to win.”

Chris, 2nd engineer from Blush said, “You enter these competitions and never expect to win.  I’m so excited; I’ve wanted a GoPro for a while.”
