Local business raises £3,400 for Alder Hey
Warrington business Anchor Pumps present cheque for £3,400 to Liverpool's Alder Hey Hospital
Warrington based trader Anchor Pumps has today presented Alder Hey Children’s charity with a cheque for £3,400.
The Anchor Pumps team visited the children’s hospital to present the donation to Hayley Weaver, Corporate Fundraising Officer, who was overwhelmed by the local business’s kind donation.
Throughout the month of December 2014, £1 from every order placed online at Anchor
Pumps has been kindly donated to the children’s charity, which is currently raising vital funds for Alder Hey’s brand new hospital.
With the help of Anchor Pumps customers and donations from suppliers supporting the campaign, the business managed to raise the generous amount handed over to the charity today.
Warren Holmes, Anchor Pumps Managing Director said “We couldn’t be happier with the total amount raised for Alder Hey and are pleased to be handing the cheque over to Hayley and Louise from the charity today. We would like to all our customers and also personally thank our manufacturers and suppliers Lowara, Calpeda, Salamander Pumps and Prodo Digital for their kind donations.”
Mr Holmes continued “The team at Alder Hey do an amazing job and we’re pleased to be donating to such a worthy, local charity”.
Hayley Weaver, Alder Hey Children’s Charity said: “On behalf of Alder Hey Children’s Charity I would like to thank Anchor Pumps, their customers and suppliers for their support. Their incredible generosity will help us make a difference to thousands of children and young people in our new hospital.”
