The Reverend Libby Lane, currently Vicar of the combined benefice of St Peter’s Hale and St Elizabeth’s Ashley in the Diocese of Chester, will be consecrated as the 8th Bishop of Stockport on Monday 26th January 2015 at York Minster. The service will be conducted by the Archbishop of York, Dr John Sentamu. Libby Lane will be the first woman in the Church of England to be consecrated as a Bishop.
Journalists and photographers wishing to attend the service will need official accreditation from York Minster to gain entry to the Minster and the media positions.

Journalists and photographers should report to the media point at the West End of the Minster on arrival to pick up their press pass.
Press Association will be pooling images from inside the Minster. Media organisations should contact the Press Association for more information. Photographic positions will be available for accredited photographers outside in the designated media area at the West End of the Minster.
Broadcast images from inside the Minster will be pooled by the BBC. Media organisations should contact the BBC for more information. Media positions will be available for accredited broadcasters outside in the designated media area at the West End of the Minster.

Allocated seating has been reserved for accredited print journalists wishing to attend the service. Journalists will be directed to their seating on arrival.
- All media inside the Minster must be in position by 10.30am for briefing. Media will not be admitted beyond this time
- Media wishing to seek a space in the designated media area at the West End of the Minster must arrive in good time. It is estimated that the service will end at approximately 1pm.
- No recording devices are to be brought into the service
- No photography during the service
- Please use social media in a responsible manner during the service. Use #BishopLibby.
- We are sorry but we cannot provide any parking for the media on this occasion.

10.30 A procession of supporting clergy and licensed minsters enters through the South
10.55 The Very Reverend Vivienne Faull, Dean of York Minster, welcomes the congregation
And gives notices.
A period of silence is then kept until the start of the service.
