Rahel Belatchew, Founder and Principal Architect, Belatchew Arkitekter, will represent Sweden during DesignMarch, Iceland's Design Festival, which takes place in Reykjavik March 15-18.

Iceland Design Center - the organization behind DesignMarch - has, together with the Swedish Embassy in Reykjavik, invited Rahel Belatchew to represent Sweden during the Design Diplomacy event, which takes place at the Swedish ambassador's residence.

Design Diplomacy is a series of discussion events held in ambassadors' residences. The concept boldly combines the prestigious diplomatic setting with informal discussions and builds vital international links for the embassies, speakers and the audience alike. The aim of the project is to make new intercultural connections, strengthen ongoing international relationships and to promote design and architecture through dialogue and experience.

Rahel Belatchew has also been invited to give a speech about the necessity of flexible architecture at DesignMarch's Architectural Symposium.

- It is an honor to have been invited to the Design Diplomacy event at the Swedish residence and to have the opportunity to give a lecture at the Architectural Symposium, says Rahel Belatchew, Founder and Principal Architect, Belatchew Arkitekter.

- I look forward to sharing my experiences of sustainable and flexible architecture in an international context, especially in Iceland with its rich history and exciting contemporary design, concludes Rahel Belatchew.

Rahel Belatchew's participation during DesignMarch concludes with a VIP Reception at the President's Residence hosted by Iceland's President Guðni Th Jóhannesson.
